Circular Communities England
is a new charity to empower
community-led reuse, repair
and sharing across England.
We’re starting a charitable organisation to support communities and organisations working at the grassroots to reduce waste in their neighbourhoods and facilitate circular living in England.
Initially we’re focusing on building membership and capacity across the sharing library and repair cafe movement.
OUR AIMS
Let’s build it together.
We’re working with potential members to co-design the network’s strategy, priorities and outcomes to make sure resources and capacity focus where it’s needed most.
From our initial consultation, emerging themes included:
- Connecting communities
- Sharing learning
- National representation for the movement
WHY IT MATTERS
England needs a joined-up, national voice for circular communities.
Right now, hundreds of community-led sharing libraries and repair cafes are working hard to attract sustainable funding, space and partnerships.
We believe that joined-up action will support our movement in key areas, such as fundraising, facilitating and sharing learning and better coordination across the country.
WHO WE ARE
We’re a small team of unpaid trustees with years of experience supporting community-based sharing, repair and reuse initiatives.
